Radio is pretty much on all the time at my apartment. After NRK changed some of the programs in the main channel NRK P1 the spring 2012, I hear more on other channels. This is NRK P2, NRK Alltid Nyheter and BBC World Service. I also listen at the radio at work, if it's possible.

NRK P2 sends cultural material, news, opinion, analysis, popular science and social programs.

NRK Alltid Nyheter broadcasts news 24 hours a day.

BBC World Service broadcasts news, talk, discussions 24 hours a day.

Wonders of the Solar System

This series in five parts from BBC and Science Channel reveals the true and spectacular beauty surrounding our solar system. Presenter Professor Brian Cox takes us through a journey that stretches from the sun and all the way to the outer space where Neptune is. Sent on BBC Knowledge.

Slik er universet (How The Universe Works, season 2)

A users guide to the cosmos from the big bang to galaxies, stars, planets and moons. Where did it all come from and how does it all fit together. A primer for anyone who has ever looked up at the night sky and wondered (IMDb). Sent on NRK2 from 13 Mach 2013.

Nytt på nytt

A Norwegian satire program with presenter Jon Almaas. The program has been broadcast on NRK1 since 1999 and is a Norwegian version of the British satire program "Have I Got News for You". Sent on NRK1 at Fridays in the autumn and winter season.

Doc Martin

A British comedy drama series, with Martin Clunes in the title role of Doc Martin. Story takes place in the coastal village "Portwenn" (Port Isaac, Cornwall, UK). Five series produced between 2004 and 2011. Sent in Norway on VOX, a sister channel to TV Norge.

Team Bachstad: Sesong 2 - I India (Team Bachstad: Season 2 - In India)

A Norwegian comedy travel series in four parts. After travelling from Norway to Mongolia in a 3-tonne vintage fire truck in "Rally Mongolia" in the first season, they are back. Two of Norway’s best humorists, Øystein Bache and Rune Gokstad are this time in India at the charity race "The Rickshaw Run" with an auto rickshaw from Shillong to Jaisalmer, a distance of 3,500 kilometers. Sent on NRK1 from 29 January 2013.

Livet i oldtida (Ancient Worlds)

A British documentary from the BBC in six parts. The documentary is a journey of civilization development. Archaeologist and historian Richard Miles explores Uruk, 'all cities' mother', which is south of Iraq. Then he travels to Syria, Egypt, Anatolia and Greece, where he examines the challenges the humans had to cope with when they lived close together. Sent on NRK2 from 28 January 2013.

Brenner - historier fra vårt land (Brenner - Stories from our country)

A documentary series from NRK in 6 parts. The presenter Hans Olav Brenner travels around Norway with a Volvo Amazon from 1966 looking for people and phenomena that have changed the Norwegian culture. Sent on NRK1 from 7 January 2013.

Naturen og vår sivilisasjon (How Earth Made Us)

Nature Series from the BBC in five parts.

This innovative series reveals the epic story of how the forces of nature on the planet has shaped the Human civilization. First aired in the autumn 2010, sent again from 6 January 2013 on NRK2.

Drømmedesign (Designs)

A British series about housing projects. The series is produced for Channel 4 and the presenter is the designer Kevin McCloud. Grand Designs is broadcast on Channel 4 since april 1999. Sent in Norway on VOX, a sister channel to TV Norge.

Stålindustriens giganter (Les Hommes du Fer)

The development of the steel industry in 1900 century industrial revolution. Steel became the new symbol of progress. France and Germany dominated the market for nearly 150 years. A French documentary in 2 parts sent on NRK December 2012.

Dei blå hav (Oceans)

A documentary from the BBC in 8 parts. A dive team with diving experts, ecologists and marine biologists travel around to different ocean areas to explore different phenomena. In the series, we are taken to the California Bay, Southern Ocean, Red Sea, Atlantic, Mediterranean and Indian Ocean. Was sent in autumn 2012 on NRK and now in reprise winter 2012/13.

Vitenskapens verden (Planet Science, Series 6)

A British documentary in 13 parts from 2010. The series answers some of the most challenging questions that humanity ask themselves. Was sent in the spring of 2011 at NRK and now in reprise winter 2012 from 29 November 2012

En reise i vannets fremtid (A journey into the Future of Water)

Norwegian documentary. You will find huge but unknown plans to utilize water in new ways, and to move water in large artificial rivers to areas where the shortage is acute. The series is made in 25 countries in collaboration with Professor Terje Tvedt, who was behind the earlier series "En reise i vannets historie" (A Journey in the History of Water). 3 episodes broadcast on NRK2 from 28 October 2012.

Coast: series 4

A great documentary about the British coast, but we also get an insight of the coastline of France, Norway and the Faroe Islands. BBC documentary sent on NRK autumn 2012

Secret des 7 soeurs

Documentary about the cartel activities of the seven major oil companies and how they used that power to control the global oil industry. French documentary sent on NRK autumn 2012

The Normans

A BBC documentary about the Norman expansion and ambitions between the 10th and 13 century. BBC documentary sent on NRK autumn 2012

1066

A British drama production about the Norman attacks on Anglo-Saxons, and the takeover of power in England. The year 1066 is considered as the end of the Viking Age, when Harald Hardrada falls at the Battle of Stamford Bridge. BBC series sent on NRK autumn 2012.

Livet i slummen (Slumming It)

Kevin McCloud is involved in one of the most extreme and densely populated places: Dharvi in Mumbai. He lives and works with the natives and exploring the 15,000 tiny industries in the slums. A Channel 4 program sent on VOX, a sister channel to TV Norge.
